That afternoon, as a key part of the conference, a themed matchmaking session on "AI Plus Culture and Tourism" took place at Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center, where Guangdong's 2026 AI + culture and tourism application cases were announced.

Global DigiTech Innovation Co., Ltd.'s "Multimodal Intelligent Content Generation and Air-Ground Immersive Interaction Service Platform for Low-Altitude Tourism in Scenic Areas" was selected as one of the 11 application products and services in this batch. Shenzhen University is a co-development partner.

This marks the second consecutive year that Global DigiTech has been selected for a Guangdong "AI Plus Culture and Tourism" initiative. The recognition reflects the company's continued exploration in technology R&D and scenario innovation, extending from cultural tourism foundation models to deeper industrial applications.

Recognized for Two Consecutive Years: From Model Capabilities to Industry Applications

In 2025, Global DigiTech's "Next-Generation End-to-End Smart Culture and Tourism Foundation Model System: A Full-Chain Solution Based on Model Clusters, Domain Training and On-Device Distillation" was selected for Guangdong's AI Plus Culture and Tourism Application Scenario Incubation Program.

Building on model clusters, domain-specific training and on-device distillation, the company has explored connecting model training, cloud services and on-site applications so AI can better adapt to sector knowledge, business workflows and device deployment requirements.

In 2026, this technical foundation advanced further into specific scenarios. The selected low-altitude tourism platform focuses on content production, visitor interaction and operations in scenic areas, organizing model capabilities into products and services for the sector.

The platform builds on R&D work related to a 2026 key project under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's National Science and Technology Innovation R&D Program for Culture and Tourism. Together with Shenzhen University, Global DigiTech is advancing multimodal content generation and immersive interaction for low-altitude tourism in scenic areas, supporting product development and practical application while connecting research with industry needs.

The two selections trace a continued path from asking how models can serve culture and tourism to embedding them in real business operations.

Using Low-Altitude Tourism to Bring AI into Real-World Operations

Low-altitude viewpoints create new ways to experience scenery. Turning them into appealing, sustainable tourism products also requires linking visual landscapes with cultural stories and connecting aerial sightseeing with ground-based visits.

In response, the selected platform brings together scenic-area cultural materials, imagery, location data and tour routes. Multimodal understanding, knowledge retrieval and content generation support services such as smart interpretation, interactive Q&A and digital-human guides.

For visitors, the platform can tailor content to their viewpoint, location and progress through a tour. Through mobile devices or on-site terminals, visitors can view aerial footage, learn the stories behind landmarks and explore related cultural sites on the ground, extending a sightseeing experience into a deeper cultural journey.

From New Visitor Experiences to Content Production and Scenic-Area Operations

Deep industry applications should give visitors new experiences while providing operators with services they can manage and update.

For content, the platform uses scenic-area knowledge bases and intelligent generation capabilities to organize and update interpretation, guide and interactive materials, exploring more efficient ways to supply distinctive cultural tourism content.

For visitor services, it supports continuity across pre-trip recommendations, in-flight companionship, on-site guidance, interactive check-ins and smart travel photography, with standardized interfaces for ticketing, tour guidance, membership and marketing systems.

For operations, content review, publishing authorization, access control and feedback analysis are incorporated into the platform design to support ongoing service improvement. Low-altitude flights are conducted by appropriately qualified operators; the platform focuses on intelligent content and interaction services.

By connecting experience innovation with content and operational workflows, Global DigiTech aims to make AI a sustainable business capability for scenic areas and explore replication across mountain and canyon, coastal and lakeside, and historic-town settings.

05

Deepening Industry Work and Turning Innovation into Lasting Value

The value of technology, from cultural tourism foundation models to deeper industry applications, is ultimately tested in real business: whether cultural content can be better understood and shared, visitors can receive better services, and scenic areas can build the capacity for continuous operational innovation.

Being selected for two consecutive years recognizes progress to date and encourages Global DigiTech to deepen its work in the sector. The company will continue to address industry needs, strengthen industry-academia-research collaboration, and advance R&D, scenario validation and product iteration so model capabilities mature through practical use and innovations can be replicated and scaled.

By grounding its work in cultural tourism foundation models and creating long-term value through industry applications, Global DigiTech will work with industry partners to deepen the integration of AI with culture and tourism, turn cultural resources into vibrant experiences and services, and contribute to high-quality cultural tourism development in Guangdong.
